Privacy
Funzu sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device until you ask to play. No analytics, no advertising, no trackers; the servers are in Warsaw.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Mateusz Kraśniewski - Usługi Informatyczne, ul. Romaszewskiego 10/143, 01-892 Warszawa, NIP 7582339495. Write to kontakt@funzu.games about anything on this page.
What we store, and why
Funzu sets no cookies and loads nothing from anyone else. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no embedded fonts or players. Everything the page needs comes from Funzu.
Nothing is kept on your device until you ask to play, and reading these pages is not asking. You can look at every game, see which tables are open and who is waiting at them, and leave again without anything having been stored here or created on our server.
Asking to play means one of five things: opening a table, opening a private table, sitting down at somebody else's table, joining with a friend's code, or starting a game against Zu. The first time you do any of them we ask how you would like to play — as a guest, or signed in with Google or Apple. Until you answer, nothing is written.
Once you have answered, your browser keeps:
- a device identifier — 128 random bits, generated in your browser, which is what your rating and history are attached to;
- a session token, so that you do not sign in again on every visit;
- your language choice, from the moment you choose one.
Our server keeps a record holding that device identifier and your rating, and a record of each finished match: which game, when, and how it ended.
The legal basis
Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — the processing is necessary to provide the service you asked for. Without the device identifier there is no way to give you back the same rating tomorrow.
Storing anything on your device is governed separately, by Article 399 of the Polish Electronic Communications Act. It allows it without asking your permission only where it is necessary for a service you have explicitly requested — which is why nothing is stored until you ask to play, and why there is no cookie banner here. There is nothing to ask permission for before that point.
Giving us this data is not a legal requirement and there is no contract obliging you to. It is simply what playing without an account is made of: refuse it and the site cannot remember you, which is a choice you can make by clearing the site's data at any time.
Who else sees it
The site and its database run on servers operated by OVH Sp. z o.o., ul. Swobodna 1, 50-088 Wrocław, in a data centre in Warsaw. They act on our instructions and nothing more.
Nobody else. We do not sell, share or hand on your data, and nothing leaves the European Economic Area.
How long we keep it
Your account record and rating are kept while the account exists. Match records are kept so that the history on your profile stays accurate. Ask us to delete them and we will, unless the law requires us to keep something — and today there is nothing it requires us to keep.
What we do not do
- We do not profile you.
- We make no automated decisions about you.
- We do not use your data for anything except running the game.
- We have no data protection officer, because at this size the law does not require one.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you your data, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, hand it to you in a portable form, or object to the processing. Write to kontakt@funzu.games and we will answer within a month.
If you think we have got this wrong, you can complain to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office — Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa.
Children
Funzu is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us something, write to kontakt@funzu.games and we will remove it.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the bottom of this page changes with it.
